We have been working on something big for over a year now and it's finally time to share it with all of you. Our 24 seat restaurant has served us well for over 9 years now. As our popularity has grown, we've found it harder and harder to find space in our books for the growing number of guests wanting to dine with us. So, after many months of searching, we have finally found a bigger home. We have finalized plans to relocate and expand Urban Hearth to 1281 Cambridge Street in Cambridge’s Inman Square. Some of you might remember this space as the old Bukowski bar.
The reimagined space will marry sophistication and warmth, featuring intimate table seating with Chef Erin Miller's trademark hyper-local and seasonally driven menu, an expanded six-seat chef’s counter, a full-service bar (yes we will have bar seating!!), and a welcoming salon area; ideal for casual meals, small gatherings and spirited conversation. The design and service approach will reflect our commitment to hospitality at the highest level, while creating an intimate backdrop worthy of the caliber of cuisine we deliver.
While development is underway at the Inman Square site, Urban Hearth will continue operations at our current North Cambridge location. Plans are underway to maintain our current home as a secondary concept once the new location is fully operational.
We know this is a big change and we want to assure all our valued guests and dear friends that this new space will still provide the warm, welcoming, intimate, experience you know and love us for. Only now you won't have to squeeze through the service station to use the restroom.
We are so thrilled to share this news with you, but of course it isn't without a twinge of sadness, as this will be the last holiday season we will be spending at our Mass Ave location. That's why we are announcing this to our friends first, so that you have a head start on booking those holiday reservations. We'll also be announcing our New Years Eve plans next week, so stay tuned.
