Urban Hearth, named one of Boston’s top 50 restaurants for the past two years, is looking for a passionate and dedicated Daytime Prep Cook to join our kitchen team. Work alongside Chef Erin Miller and a team of talented chefs creating a hyper local, farm to table menu.

We are:

Join us in crafting our bespoke farm-to-table menu that showcases the best of New England’s ingredients from farms, fisheries and forests. 

Urban Hearth, one of Boston Magazine’s 2024 Top 50 Restaurants and winner of Best Chef’s Counter with Chef Erin Miller, is hiring an experienced server for 2-3 shifts per week in our cozy 24 seat dining room.

You are:

  • Excited for a role that is part story-teller, telling the story of our food, where it’s sourced, how it’s made, and why locally sourced food is important to our community and ecosystem. (A passion for locally sourced, farm-to-table cuisine isn’t required but is certainly encouraged.)

  • Interested and knowledgeable in wine, beer and cocktails. This position requires mixing and serving our batched curated cocktail menu and being able to talk about beer, wine and cocktails confidently

  • In possession of a patient, kind and easy manner, with the ability to anticipate what guests will desire and make them feel welcome and engaged with.

  • Experienced with fine dining service practices and excited to provide guests with impeccable service.

  • Energetic and team oriented - this is a fast-paced, highly-collaborative environment that celebrates creativity, service, and knowledge. We work hard together, support one another, and share the results.

  • Excited to learn every single day with us.

 

Details:

  • Wage plus pooled tips across service staff. Expect to be making between $200-$400 per shift with no super late nights. Servers are generally out before 11pm. 

  • Part-time hours - approximately 2-3 shifts per week including at least one weekend evening, with the potential to pick up more shifts as we grow

Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of restaurant industry experience required.
