In the deep, dark cold of New England winter, the craving for fresh vibrant flavors can seem like a distant dream. Just as your tastebuds slip off into a winter slumber, dreaming of tantalizing green spring and spicy red summer, Urban Hearth has a mid winter treat for you. We’re teaming up with James Beard nominated Chef Avery Buck of May Day in Burlington, VT to produce this year’s 4th annual 100-Mile Dinner. It promises to awaken even the sleepiest of senses as we employ all of our culinary talents and tricks to craft New England’s winter bounty, all sourced from within a 100-mile radius.
Our chef team will be digging deep into cold storage, leveraging hydroponics, utilizing preserved foods, and exploring the bounty of local greenhouses to create dishes that are both creative and memorable. From the rich meats and seafood of the region to the innovative use of local and foraged ingredients, every course promises to be a masterclass in culinary ingenuity. The 100-Mile Dinner promises to be a night of culinary innovation, community spirit, and delicious flavors that will leave you warm and satisfied, even on the coldest of winter nights.
And this year we are taking it on the road! The first 100 Mile dinner will take place on Tuesday, February 24, 2026 at Urban Hearth, 2263 Massachusetts Ave, Cambridge. Then Chef Erin and her team will be taking a road trip to Burlington, VT to host the dinner in late summer/early fall at May Day. This is the first year we are doing this and our teams are so excited to watch this event evolve. Pre-paid tickets are priced at $95 per person (plus tax and gratuity) and guests can choose an optional beverage pairing featuring New England sourced wines and spirits, along with cocktails and mocktails created with locally sourced ingredients.
Reservations are now live, so book your spot quickly, as this event is sure to sell out fast!
