The following paragraphs describe our policies regarding the personal information you provide to us when you purchase from our online store, as well as information we collect when you visit our website.
SECTION 1 - COLLECTED INFORMATION
When you purchase something from our online store, as part of the buying and selling process, we collect the personal information you give us such as your name, address and email address. We offer two shopping options that allow you to choose how much information you wish to share with us:
Guest Shopper – Only the record of your transaction is stored for customer service purposes. Your personal information is not stored on our servers so each time you shop with us, you will be asked for your shipping, billing and credit card information.
Registered Shopper – If you create an account on our website, your billing address and shipping address information will be stored for your convenience. Your Bill-To and Ship-To information will be pre-populated in the appropriate areas in our checkout procedure to make things easier for you. As a benefit for registered shoppers, we may also maintain records of your purchase history (accessible through your account) and other interactions you have on our website (e.g. comments).
When you browse our store, we also automatically receive your computer’s internet protocol (IP) address in order to provide us with information that helps us learn about your browser and operating system. We also receive other browsing information such as how you arrived to our website (e.g. clicking a link on Instagram).
SECTION 2 - EMAIL
We believe that your email address is private information. We do not rent or sell your email address to anyone. Here are the types of emails we may send to you:
Order-related emails. If you make a purchase from us, we will send you emails directly related to your order. For example, we will send you an email with a tracking number for your shipment.
Outreach emails. If you visit our site and take some sort of action such as adding an item to your shopping cart, downloading a document, or placing an order we may send an email following up on that action. For example, if you add something to your cart without checking out, we may send you an email reminding you of the items in your shopping cart.
Subscription-based marketing emails. If you sign up to receive our Spice Letter, we will periodically send you emails to let you know about specific products, events, recipes, or other experiences we think you might be interested in.
You may opt out at any time from any or all emails in bullets 2 and 3 by going to your account settings, using the unsubscribe link in our newsletter email, or by contacting us at email@example.com. Transactional emails in bullet 1 above are required.
SECTION 3 - DISCLOSURE
We may disclose your personal information if we are required by law to do so.
SECTION 4 - WIX RESTAURANTS
Our online store is hosted on Wix Restaurants. They provide us with the online e-commerce platform that allows us to sell our products and services to you.
Your data is stored through Wix’s databases. They store your data on a secure server behind a firewall. We do not store any credit card information or other personal information in-house or on our own servers.
Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI-DSS) compliance is a security standard for companies and organizations that handle payment information from consumers. Both of Wix's payment processors, Wix and PayPal, are PCI compliant. Sensitive card data is never handled by Squarespace. It goes directly to the payment processor’s servers; neither Urban Hearth nor Wix has access to this information and it is not stored for future purchases.
SECTION 5 - THIRD-PARTY SERVICES
In general, the third-party providers used by us will only collect, use and disclose your information to the extent necessary to allow them to perform the services they provide to us. For example, we will enter your email address into an email marketing campaign manager, such as MailChimp or Constant Contact, if we have your consent to do so. For these providers, we recommend that you read their privacy policies so you can understand the manner in which your personal information will be handled by these providers.
In particular, remember that certain providers may be located in or have facilities that are located a different jurisdiction than either you or us. So if you elect to proceed with a transaction that involves the services of a third-party service provider, then your information may become subject to the laws of the jurisdiction(s) in which that service provider or its facilities are located.
As an example, if you are located in Canada and your transaction is processed by a payment gateway located in the United States, then your personal information used in completing that transaction may be subject to disclosure under United States legislation, including the Patriot Act.
When you click links on our website, they may direct you away from our site. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of other sites and encourage you to read their privacy statements.
Our store uses Google Analytics to help us learn about who visits our site and what pages are being looked at
