Gather around our virtual Hearth to celebrate the season and welcome the return of the sun.
The Urban Hearth Family welcomes award winning storyteller, Alan White for an evening of engaging stories of the solstice from around the world. This virtual gathering promises an evening of fellowship, wonder and cheer on the longest night. We are offering an optional Yule Feast available for pickup from the restaurant at 5:30, before the storytelling begins.
The evening's menu includes roasted chestnuts for snacking, spiced buttercup squash and carrot soup with ginger cream, traditional lamb & potato or kale & mushroom pasties, and a bûche de noël finale.
An evening of good cheer to fill the heart, mind and belly.
***** Alan White is an award winning storyteller and actor, who has been featured on WGBHs national show Stories From the Stage. Alan has performed at New York International Fringe Festival, The Tennessee Williams Festival and as a featured Storyteller for Mass Mouth, The Boston Book Festival and First Night Boston. He currently lives and teaches in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, where he is completed an MFA.
