| It's time you came home
to something better ...
Tonight could be the last time you worry about cobbling together dinner.
This could be the first Saturday that you stay at home in your PJ's instead of dragging yourself to the grocery store.
And no more fretting about the calories in that microwave meal.
... because you are about to
hire your very own chef!

The Global Slow Food Movement encompasses many aspects of food production
and consumption. Among these is the celebration of the table - taking pleasure in
living as well as eating - taking time "to smell
the roses."
In a city and a time where we are swept along at a frantic pace, we struggle to find
peace and simplicty wherever we can. For most
of us, the dinner table has played a roll in
finding this balance throughout our lives. Gathered
with family, friends and loved ones, we step out of the current and revitalize our souls with the
aiding comfort of good food.
|
The mission of Urban Hearth is to set the table for you - to make it easier for you to take pleasure in living, eating, and just being... no strings attached... and thankfully, no pots to wash.

Urban Hearth's Personal Chef Service
is like no other in New York ... WHAT MAKES US DIFFERENT? |
We buy direct from farmers, so your produce, meats and dairy are of the highest quality possible.
When possible, each item is hand picked by the chef from farm stands in the city as well as farms in Long Island,
the Hudson Valley, and further afield in New England. Experience the wonderful tastes of
fresh picked strawberries in the summer, the finest poultry from Long Island, and
cheeses from
Vermont. Urban Hearth believes strongly in using fine ingredients, sustainable
and
eco-friendly farming, and the importance of supporting producers in our region. We never freeze our gourmet entrees. Meals are delivered in a combination of reusable plastic containers (containers are similar to those used by many restaurants for take out) and vacuum-sealed bags. Each menu item comes with detailed heating instruction for stovetop, oven and/or microwave where applicable.
You get fresh, fabulous dinners without the time or mess.We pride ourselves on delivering simply prepared, wholesome meals, and in utilizing the best ingredients of the season. Menus are planned on an 8 week cycle, and change with the seasons and availability of produce. Your dietary needs, allergies, and individual tastes are taken into account in the planning of your menus.
The standard menu rotation includes the following:
5 day service poultry dinner
seafood dinner
beef, pork or lamb dinner
ethnic dinner
pasta, casserole, stew or vegetarian dinner
7 day service includes all of the above with an additional poultry and seafood dinner.
*Vegetarian and other specialty diet menus are available.
